How to join Second Life®
It's very quick and easy to join Second Life, and there are tutorials and instructions available within both the registration process and Second Life itself to help you along. To get you started we've put some brief instructions together . A basic registration should take about 5 minutes.
Visit www.secondlife.com and click "Join now".
You will be asked to complete a form to enter your own personal details, then to create your Second life personality.
When you are happy with your avatar click "create account". You will now receive an activation email, although this may go to your junk email folder. Click the link within the email to activate your account.
Select to go to the help area.
You will now need to download the free second life viewer to your PC or Mac - you will be prompted to do this.
Follow the on screen instructions until the download is complete.
You will now be able to get into Second Life, which will guide you through a tutorial. If you need more help you can find it here: http://secondlife.com/support/quickstart/?lang=en-US
Once you are comfortable with the controls, leave the beginners area and join the main area via the teleport tutorial. You can now teleport to the Jeans for Genes event by selecting the map and searching for either "jeans for genes" for the fashion show and information or "menorca" for the benefit gig.
